He began his career at John Deere as an engineer specializing in advanced manufacturing technology, Six Sigma, and lean manufacturing. He later joined ICC Nexergy in the power electronics and battery industry, where he focused on manufacturing engineering, regulatory affairs, and continuous improvement initiatives. Mitch then advanced to the Edison Welding Institute (EWI), where he concentrated on advanced welding and joining technologies for commercial and defense applications.
